I think sometimes God puts us in situations of waiting and stagnation because he knows that only then will we slow down long enough to look for him again. That even when we say we're putting him first, often he's the last thing on our minds when society and work and school and leisure are all crowding for our attention. He lets himself be drowned out often I think, just so we start to learn that in order to hear him sometimes we have to block out everything else . . . It’s too true.
